Maria Ramos

Maria and her husband are farm workers. They travel to Washington each summer with their three children for work, and have to rent a home there each time. Before moving into their Self-Help Housing home, they were living with relatives in crowded conditions. Four months later, they went solar through GRID. “It has been three years since we installed our system and are extremely happy with our savings. Most of the time we are able to generate credits and if we have to pay a bill it has been very minimal. Thanks to the savings from solar, we are using the money to pay other bills, buy the children things they need, and maintain our home.”
