Hands-on experience prepares people for careers in clean energy.

By working directly with local communities, participants build technical skill. We also connect employers to a broader pool of talent, creating stronger pathways into clean energy, construction, and the skilled trades.

Our approach helps more people access quality careers and economic opportunity while building the skilled workforce needed to strengthen and modernize our nation’s energy infrastructure.

Talent, knowledge, and ambition already exist in the communities we serve, even when access to opportunity and investment has not. By working with community organizations, workforce programs, schools, government agencies, local businesses, and other trusted partners, we expand pathways to careers, business growth, and participation in the clean energy economy.

Ultimately, we want the people and businesses in the communities we serve to help build — and benefit from — the clean energy economy.

Get access to solar, storage, and other clean energy projects, along with training and hands-on support to help your business scale. GCA is built for community-rooted businesses, not a one-size-fits-all subcontracting model, and every partnership helps keep economic benefits in the communities we serve together.

Partnership Opportunities

Direct Enrollment & Partnerships

    Direct Enrollment

At our regional affiliates, GRID delivers hands-on training directly to participants seeking job and career opportunities. Programs combine industry-informed curriculum, hands-on learning labs, and real-world experience and are delivered through qualified trainers, many of whom are directly from local communities, that teach and guide trainees toward certification and job and job readiness.

    Partnerships

In communities where GRID does not have a regional office, we partner with community-based organizations and other trusted local groups. Local partners bring deep knowledge of their communities and lead recruitment, career readiness, supportive services, and connections to employment. GRID provides the technical curriculum and industry expertise, either delivering training directly or preparing local instructors through a train-the-trainer model.

The Ripple Effect

One Graduate. A Lifetime of Impact.

  1. 1 graduate

A trainee finishes IBT job-ready, with certifications and direct employer connections.

  2. $50–70k / year

A career in solar can lift earnings into a sustainable income for all people and families.

  3. × 20 years

Multiplied across a career, that income adds up to significant lifetime earnings for trainees and their communities.

  4. × 2,000+ trained

Across everyone GRID has trained, that impact multiplies community-wide.
