Nuestro compromiso con la equidad

  • GRID’s vision is a fast, equitable transition to a world powered by renewable energy that benefits everyone.

  • That vision is only possible within a framework that acknowledges social, economic, and environmental justice.

Our sustained commitment to equity, inclusion, and diversity is integral to who we are.

GRID’s mission, vision and values will only be achieved within a framework of social, economic, and environmental justice. Underrepresented and under-resourced communities carry a disproportionate share of the harm caused by environmental injustice and climate change. GRID understands that the voices and leadership of these communities are key to building solutions that are equitable and long-lasting.

GRID’s Values

  • Safety

We take care of ourselves and the people we work with, providing the tools and skills to keep everyone physically and emotionally safe everywhere we work. Safety is our top priority, always.

  • Equity

We advance environmental, racial, and economic justice, addressing systemic inequities through renewable energy. We create workplaces where staff feel they belong.

  • Collaborative Action

We bring together partners and community members to create solutions to environmental and economic challenges. We roll up our sleeves and get the work done.

  • Integrity

We do high-quality work, use resources responsibly, hold ourselves accountable, and constantly strive to improve.

Our Three Commitments

Advancing an EQUITY agenda, both within GRID Alternatives and across the energy industry and policy world. We do this by examining and addressing systemic inequities in the clean energy space, seeking out and amplifying the voices of the communities we serve, and expanding access to clean energy and career and leadership opportunities.

Creating an INCLUSIVE, welcoming environment on our jobsites, in our workplaces, and in our boardrooms, where staff, volunteers, trainees, clients, and community representatives are heard, supported, respected, and valued.

Building a culture of equity and inclusion that supports and fosters DIVERSITY. We aim to build a diverse staff at every level of our organization and to promote these values across the energy industry. We believe that one’s race, class, gender, sexual orientation, education level, veteran status, ability, and/or prior involvement with the criminal justice system should not exclude them from the benefits of a clean energy transition .
