Maggie Hune

Maggie Hune, 84, lives on a fixed income and isn’t always able to easily cover the cost of air conditioning for her home during the frequent heat waves in San Diego. Her son Donald helped her out with the logistics of applying for the GRID Alternatives program — he says that between solar and what Maggie learned about what she can do to be more energy efficient in her home, they’ve noticed a big difference her energy bill. Solar has allowed Maggic to live more comfortably and given her peace of mind about turning on her air conditioning when the temperature spikes.
