\u201cMy time as a fellow has connected me to meaningful work and people,\u201d<\/strong><\/em> shared Erick M. in during the 8-month mark of his Solarcorps Workforce Development Fellowship. <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Through the SolarCorps Fellowship program, GRID IE provides a full-time, 11-month real-world experience to community members interested in pursuing a career in the climate action movement. <\/p>\n

At the beginning of his fellowship<\/a>, Erick was unsure about working in the nonprofit sector. Since then, he has learned valuable skills working alongside the Workforce Development team<\/a>, such as how to organize successful training programs like IBT 200<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s rewarding to see firsthand how the IBT 200 program improves our trainees\u2019 skills and grows their confidence,\u201d<\/strong><\/em>Erick said. Since the first IBT 200 cohort in 2023, growing interest in the community has led Erick\u2019s team to take on larger cohorts\u2014an accomplishment that would not have been possible without Erick\u2019s crucial support.<\/p>\n

With support from the Workforce Development team and his Solarcorps fellows, Erick feels inspired and motivated by his work. \u201cMy time here has given me the confidence to pursue a career where I can have the biggest impact on my community,\u201d<\/strong><\/em> he shared. <\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
