Pronouns: He/Him/His

How did you come to GRID?: This is my second term with this organization. What drew me the first time was its focus on the triple bottom line: People, Planet, and Employment and how it was linked with a social justice focus. That, to me, is unique and beautiful at the same time. No other organization was pushing for it as determinately as GRID was starting to do so. It felt like the right thing to do to rejoin the organization for the new challenge as part of the clean vehicle program.

What is your favorite part of what you do at GRID?: I love the fact that GRID as an entity is constantly looking to bridge gaps towards equity, inclusion, and diversity in the world of sustainability. And, I am in particularly excited to be involved in a part of a very promising and early stage of the environmental stewardship work in mobility/transportation.

Favorite GRID moment?: There are many moments that I can mark as favorites. Would be unfair to not list all of them, here is one that was nice for me, Solar Spring Break is an opportunity for college students to join and support GRID’s work across the nation. Receiving a thank you note full of nice comments or kind words towards the construction team, the outreach team, etc. from the students at the end of their experience it’s an epic memory for me.

What’s one thing GRID is working on now that you’re really excited to see happen this year?: The IBT program in Nicaragua

Fun fact about you: I love adding jalapeños and pineapple to my pizza.

Luis Gonzalez Imbert recently joined the GRID Bay Area team as one of our Clean Mobility Program Coordinators.
