Experts predict a steady climb for the solar job market despite the solar industry experiencing some bumps in the road in 2017\/2018. According to the Solar Energy Industries\u2019 Association<\/a>, 401,000 solar jobs will be added by 2021 and 581,000 by 2026. The Bureau of Labor Statistics identified \u2018solar photovoltaic installer<\/em>\u2019 as the fastest growing job category in the nation (closely followed by \u2018wind turbine technician\u2019), with jobs expected to double by 2026.<\/p>\n

GRID Alternatives is at the forefront in paving the way for individuals to gain marketable skills through hands-on job training in this growing industry. In early 2018, GRID Inland Empire\u2019s Workforce Development Department, partnered with the Inland Empire\/Desert Center of Excellence<\/a>, and the Deputy Sector Navigator for Advanced Transportation and Renewable Energy to produce a Residential and Commercial Solar Employer Survey<\/a>. According to the survey, 672 jobs are expected to be added in the Inland region in the next two years.<\/p>\n
