The people that are selected for these positions will gain valuable experience in the solar and non-profit industry to help launch their career while making significant contributions to GRID Alternatives and the broader community. Fellows get training and supervision from GRID regional staff and gain a broad range of skills and experience to qualify for a range of different renewable energy and non-profit careers, while helping under-resourced families receive solar services from GRID Alternatives.<\/p>\n<p>GRID Central Valley wants to say \u201cTHANK YOU\u201d to Nienfou Saechao, SolarCorps Construction Fellow, Chengfou Saechao, SolarCorps Workforce and Volunteer Fellow, Farhana Weerasinghe, SolarCorps Outreach Fellow, Jessica Madrigal, SolarCorps Outreach Fellow and Luis Resendiz, SolarCorps Construction Fellow (not pictured). All are concluding their term of service in the GRID Alternatives SolarCorps Fellowship Program and have secured positions as staff with the Central Valley office.<\/p>\n<p>We would also like to say \u201cWELCOME\u201d to our new SolarCorps Fellows that started their term on August 27<sup>th<\/sup> by attending a week long orientation in Emeryville and will hit the ground running on September 4<sup>th<\/sup> in our Central Valley office. Our new SolarCorps Fellows are Salamasina Satale, SolarCorps Workforce and Volunteer Fellow, Alice Gonzalez, SolarCorps Outreach Fellow, Al Hakim, SolarCorps Workforce and Volunteer Fellow, Larry Garcia, SolarCorps Construction Fellow and Cristian Tello, SolarCorps Construction Fellow.<\/p>\n<p>The SolarCorps Fellowship Program is part of the AmeriCorps network of programs. SolarCorps is made possible with funding support from AmeriCorps, AmeriCorps VISTA, and Bank of America. AmeriCorps is a program of the Corporation for National and Community Service, the federal agency for volunteering, service, and civic engagement.
