At GRID, we get reminders every day of the generosity of our community. Every time you volunteer on an installation or share our stories with a friend, you\u2019re showing us you care. But your response to our December fundraising campaign blew us away! Together you donated over $53,000 to support our work in 2017. Every dollar you donated will help families get solar and job seekers jump-start their solar careers. Thank you<\/strong> to everyone who contributed to GRID in 2016!<\/p>\n

We have a lot to be excited about in 2017: We expect to install nearly twice as much solar this coming year as last, on rooftops, on multifamily apartment buildings and in off-site community solar arrays, all helping low-income families and housing providers reduce energy costs and contribute to a clean energy future. We\u2019re ramping up our new Installation Basics Training program<\/a>, partnering with job training organizations all over the country and hosting an increasing number of job fairs to help trainees connect to jobs; New state policies and programs in places like Washington, D.C.<\/a>, Colorado<\/a> and Illinois <\/a>are laying the groundwork for large-scale low-income solar access; and our International Program <\/a>is planning our second off-grid project in Nepal. Together, all of these things mean cleaner air, energy cost savings and economic opportunities in disadvantaged communities. We look forward to your continued support and partnership as we roll up our sleeves and get to work!<\/p>\n
