Summer is starting to heat up as the newest Solar Construction Interns get into the swing of things after their first few weeks with GRID IE. Jonathan Dayap, Stephen Dasaro, and Giovanni Esti join Elizabeth Pe\u00f1a in helping make solar happen in the Inland Empire. It\u2019s a change of pace for all three, as Jonathan and Stephen explore the hands-on world outside the university classroom and Giovanni puts his NABCEP Certification<\/a> into practice. \u201cI am really excited about the intern program,\u201d Stephen said. \u201cGRID is an excellent place for me to get experience in the solar industry and have a great record of interns getting hired full time in the industry.\u201d <\/p>\n

We are currently looking for our next pair of Solar Construction Interns to start July 11. The positions involve assisting GRID construction staff in the design and installation of solar electric systems. Prior interns have gained employment with a local solar contractor as well as obtained placement as an electrical apprentice. Could you be next? GRID IE will also be seeking individuals to apply for SolarCorps Fellowship positions in late August. If you are a highly motivated and enthusiastic person, this is your chance to join GRID Alternatives for a 13 month term.
