Since May 2015, they have been contributing to GRID as DCSEU workforce development interns, but Aaron and James will now be working with the Mid-Atlantic team full time through our SolarCorps fellowship! <\/p>\n<p>Aaron comes to GRID after serving in the U.S. Army National Guard and has extensive experience in construction. Among many other skills, Mr. Lovett brings carpentry, infrastructure design and a can-do attitude to the Mid-Atlantic GRID team. \u201cGRID is confirmation that I can do anything I put my mind to\u201d says Aaron.<\/p>\n<p>James is a roofing expert. Prior to join GRID, he was in the roofing industry for over 5 years and has worked on projects throughout the DMV area. James studied HVAC theory at the University of the District of Columbia and brings a high level of skill and expertise to the GRID team. \u201cGRID has shown and taught me the values of giving back to our low income community\u201d states James.<\/p>\n<p>We are excited to bring these two gentlemen on board and show our commitment to the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gridalternatives.org\/learn\/programs\/RISE\">RISE<\/a> initiative!<\/p>\n<p>GRID is working with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/SunEdison\" target=\"_blank\">SunEdison<\/a> to make the solar workforce more inclusive.<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/hashtag\/risewithgrid?source=embed\" target=\"_blank\">\u202a#\u200eRISEwithGRID<\/a> tells the stories of people in communities we serve beginning new careers.
