Thanks to you, 4 families received solar power at no cost on Saturday, October 4<sup>th<\/sup> in Atascadero, CA. Working with Peoples\u2019 Self Help Housing, 4 deserving families were selected and we went to work!Altogether, we received over $15,500 in sponsorships, donations, and in-kind donations and engaged 14 employee sponsor volunteers, 19 job trainees, and numerous community members in a remarkable day of hard work, good times, and solar power!The Mayor of Atascadero, Tom O\u2019Malley, even designated October 4<sup>th<\/sup>, 2014 as GRID Alternatives Central Coast day and delivered a proclamation during our lunch program in commemoration of our 500<sup>th<\/sup> solar installation on the Central Coast!<\/p>\n<p>Special thanks to our sponsors: Wells Fargo, PG&amp;E, and Rabobank for making this special day possible! Additional thanks to the San Luis Obispo Community Foundation for supporting our Workforce Development initiatives with a $3,000 grant! We would also like to thank the Atascadero Kiwanis Club for purchasing lunch for all participants. Solarthon 2014 was a HUGE success and we are so grateful for all the support!
