She heard about GRID Alternatives this fall during a partnership with the BRAE Department in which GRID employees participated in a Solar Photovoltaic System Engineering lab course and spoke at several sessions of the class.<\/p>\n<p>During this class, a multidisciplinary group of 41 engineering and agriculture students volunteered their time installing solar on two of our clients\u2019 homes in Greenfield, California [<a href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/gridalternatives\/sets\/72157644437260911\/\">Photos<\/a>]. In addition, some of our own staff participated in assisting the Cal Poly faculty-supervised students in installing a grid-tied solar-electric system on the BRAE building using solar panels provided by SunPower, one of our <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gridalternatives.org\/partner\/equipment-partners\">2014 Equipment Partners<\/a>. It was a win-win scenario, one which we hope to repeat in the near future as part of our region\u2019s Students for Solar Workforce Development Initiative.
