It was one of the first large-scale community solar gardens in the nation built to allocate most of its output to income-qualified households \u2014 giving renters, and others who can&#8217;t put solar on their own roof, a way to share directly in its benefits.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">GRID partnered with PVREA and the Colorado Energy Office to build the system. More than 300 community volunteers, including PVREA members and staff, contributed roughly 3,200 hours to construct it over the course of a few weeks.
